Blue Jay are considered to be noisy, loud often imitating Hawks, aggravating everything that moves from squirrels, cats, hawks, owls or us. Easily identified with its blue color and crest. Most of the time they are in groups and will run all other birds off of a feeder.

Nature and photography have interested me since I was young. I was inspired after reading a book, by G. Ron Austing called " I Went to the Woods". His story of falconry, raptors and nature photography is still on my bookshelf today. Over the years I have photographed a diversity of subjects but avian photography is my passion. Living in Louisiana allows me to photograph a diverse population of birds as my subjects. My images have been published on several calendars, magazine and books, to include the Tennessee Conservationist, American Birding Association, Birding Guide to Louisiana, Louisiana Conservationist calendar and Bird Watchers Digest .
