About Jim E Johnson
Nature and photography have interested me since I was young. I was inspired after reading a book, by G. Ron Austing called " I Went to the Woods". His story of falconry, raptors and nature photography is still on my bookshelf today. Over the years I have photographed a diversity of subjects but avian photography is my passion. Living in Louisiana allows me to photograph a diverse population of birds as my subjects.
My images have been published on several calendars, magazine and books, to include the Tennessee Conservationist, American Birding Association, Birding Guide to Louisiana, Louisiana Conservationist calendar and Bird Watchers Digest . I have donated several images to graduate students for there presentations and various other organizations.
Every day in the field is a learning experience and I feel very fortunate to be able to enjoy the natural world. I look forward to sharing my insights into the world of nature with you.
